Belle Leather started as a hobby by William 'Paul' Reveley. Everyone knew him as Paul.
Over 30 years ago he turned his hobby into a career.
While Paul was mainly self-taught in leathercraft, he also worked with a master saddler, to further his skills.
Paul taught his children in the art of leathercraft too and they have been practising these skills to continue his business after Paul passed away in 2017.
Although not currently able to provide all of the services Paul offered, they are many we can do - new products, adjustments and repairs.
We plan to continue our learning over time to expand these services to offer you more.
About me: Ellen
I am the main director and worker of Belle Leather. I've told you a little about how the business was initially set up by dad and I'm sure there are many of dads customers who remember myself, and my brothers coming out on saddle fits etc.
Although dad had wanted me to go to college and learn the trade when I left school, it wasn't the career I was looking for at the time - I went to study veterinary nursing and qualified in 2008. I have since then, had my two boys and gone to university to top-up my qualifications and I am currently studying for my masters degree as well as working as a nurse part time.
As I said before, we really wanted to carry dads business on and with that in mind, I practised the skills dad had taught me and I really enjoy it.
I will be attending courses to further improve my skills in saddlery, enabling me to offer you further services in the future.
As I work part-time as a nurse, there are some days (usually Wednesdays and Fridays) that I am not available, however my other days I am very flexible with and this includes evenings and weekends.

Handmade items, either from stock or to your own specifications
Repairs
Do you have a bag strap that needs fixing or replacing or maybe you need a new zip. All of these repairs can be undertaken to prolong the life of your items
Alterations
Love your bag but the strap is in the wrong place for you or you have a favourite pair of boots with laces but would like a zip added for ease of use
Horse Rugs
Has your pony ripped their rug on the fence or pulled a strap off - get in touch to get these repaired or are the straps too long or too short - we can adjust these for the perfect fit
